What We Believe

Statement of Faith
This church shall be composed of baptized believers in the Lord Jesus Christ united by a common covenant for the worship of Almighty God, the propagation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the world about us, even unto the uttermost part of the earth.  (Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instructions; that it has God as its author, salvation for its end and truth without any mixture of error for its matter; that it reveals the principles by which God shall judge us and therefore is and shall remain to the end of the world the true center of Christian vision and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried.

The church shall take the Holy Bible as its only rule of order, faith, and practice, by which all matters of faith and conduct are to be governed.  We will cooperate with the local association of Baptist churches of like faith and order, the Georgia Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).

We subscribe to the SBC and to the general Articles of Faith recommended by the SBC adopted May 9, 1963 and revised by the SBC June 14, 2000.  Copies are available upon request.
